I have a Wave 13 and need to replace the tramp. Do the hulls need to be seperated to install the new tramp?

If you have a

Club

model, yes; on the

Classic

(or SE) model, no. But on either one, it's the tramp tension that holds the hulls together.

Thanks for the reply. When I unlace it, the hulls should come off the cross member?

I'm guessing you have a Club model, with the laces down the middle and across the rear. The tramp's panels slide through a track on each hull and a channel in the front cross bar. In the back, it's laced to a thin strip in the rear cross bar. If you undo all the lacing, you should be able to pull the hulls apart as you slide the panel out of the front cross bar. If you just need to replace one side panel, you can pull only that hull off and leave the other in place. (Oh, you'll want to remove the mast before doing any of this!) Pulling the tramp out of the tracks can be difficult if you have sand in the channel; water flushing may help.

If you don't have it, you can download the Wave assembly manual from http://www.hobiecat.com/support/pdfs/wavemanual.pdf to see how it's supposed to be put together.

Thank you so much. I bought a whole new tramp so I wanted to replace the entire thing since it is sun worn. Your help is much appreciated!
