general design question for you folk - Spin, hooter, screetcher, code zero?

Figure something like the stilletto 30. Not what I'd consider a planing cat, so I can't imagine you'd generate the kind of apparant wind that you would on a VX40 or the Cup boats.

Would you be better served (VMG, downwind angles) with a spin or flatter sail like a screetcher?

Most of the Stiletto's use a flat cut spinnaker. Look through this gallery from the 2010 Buzzelli Rendevous for some examples.

Maybe you'll see Tike Pete & JC.

Done a bit on a Raider 302 and found that the best combination is a monster masthead spinnaker for VMG sailing [Down wind] and a screecher for any type of reaching.
