Nice card. What trap harnesses have you liked for the little guys? I'm looking for harnesses for my 5, 8, and 11 year old boys. Thanks.

Don't they sail Banshee's out there on Lake Champlain? I just picked up a H16 and am working on getting it race ready. We have a fleet of about 25 "vintage" Banshee's sailing out of Folsom CA with anywhere from 15-20 racing each regatta.

Eric,

The harnesses in the picture are from Murrays (the race half harness). They don't fit my boys well, but we managed on that afternoon. I've since come across some old "classic" harnesses with the "standard" buckles. With a little time on the sewing machine to size them down a bit, I came up with harnesses that fit them well.

Don't know about sailing Banshees on the lake, but during the Korean war there were a lot of flying Banshees assigned to the aircraft carrier, USS Lake Champlain (which once held the record for Atlantic crossings - 4 days, 8 hours, 51 minutes).

I'll keep my eye out for the sailing variety.

Thanks Kevin. I've got an old Hobie harness I should probably just cut down. By the way, my in-laws are in Lake George, not far from you. Spectacular beauty. I'm a bit soft weather-wise, though.

Eric,

Where are you at in "Central California"? My daughter lives in Davis and is flying in with my 5-month old granddaughter tonight for a week's stay. She's freeking out about the thought of snow and cold. I've assured her that she'll survive (and might end up enjoying it).

Happy Holidays
