I've finally come to the conclusion (rather....been clobbered to this conclusion on the water) that it's time to use my 18 yr old Nacra 5.2 Skip Elliot sails as wallpaper or something. I want to upgrade in the future to a boat that will better handle my typical total crewing weight so I don't want to spend a fortune on the 5.2 (though those tri-radials are really awesome looking). Three questions:
1) Where can you purchase the original type Skip Elliot sails (assuming they are still in production)?
2) Any sail recommendations that are reasonably economical?
2) Any good ideas of creative uses for the old sails?

Skip Elliott Sails are still available through your Performance Catamarans dealer. The loft is now called Elliott/Paterson Sails. They are still the same class-legal requried sails for all NACRA 5.2s, and most other NACRAs as well.
I was very pleased with my 5.2 sails when I bought them in 1990 to replace my original (#456) sails, which wer quite blown out. I don't have the boat anymore, but I'm sure if it's still sailing, it's with the '90 sails.
