Hi,

can anyone give me the right instructions how to mount a spi pole on a Nacra 6.0

I have tried to raise the bridlefoil (more curve) by mounting a set of steel wires. (unfortunatelly one snapped) result mast came down while we were sailing on one hull.

Please help next catrace by the end of this month (PS Spi boom snapped as well)..

Rob:
Not sure if the Euro 6.0 is any different from the US 6.0, however assuming they are similar, the setup is fairly simple. Notch the aft end of the spin pole to engage the mainbeam dolphin striker. Attach the pole to the bridlefoil with prestretched line or a riveted sleeve. Bridle wires then support the tip leading back to the tang/chainplate or to a carefully drilled hole in the tip of the hulls. Pole itself is supported with its own dolphin striker and compression wire.
Hope this helps.
