Anyone can tell me if it is customary to sail a Prindle 19 with a spinnaker - where could I get more info on the setup?

I have put a spin. on a Prindle 19. It is an excellent boat to use with a chute. On mine I put a masthead chute on it and love it. It's huge, about 400 square foot.

Not "customary" per se, but very common for distance racing. The boat is a beast and loves more sail area downwind. I run a 225 sq ft/21 sq meter F18 chute on mine, and when the wind gets up like it can here on the Texas coast, it's sceaming fast. Randy Smyth's "standard" P-19 chute is 290 sq ft, flying from about 30" above the hound on the mast, a 12' 3" pole, and sheeting (I think) to the rear beam. Mine is a bit higher on the mast, on a 12' pole, and sheeting to the front beam. I'm going to try it with a shorter pole sheeting to the shrouds, altho the lee helm is really not that bad.

good luck, and

sail fast

While we are talking about chutes, can the H-20 handle the spin loads? I have a chute from my H-21 that I would like to try but just don`t have any experience or personal knowledge on the compatability issues.
