Wind,

Actually 3 bedroom ranch on 100 x 100 lot, 5 steps onto beach, MTV beach house 2 miles south, surfing and body boarding, hard bodies all day (June-Sept), ability to launch and land in the surf, and "soakin up the sun".

Living a vacation, via location.

Mike

yeah, sounds great, but thats $900,000 , i'm not rich, yet. i was thinking of just dropping a hook just a bit offshore, take the dingy in and bring some b*tches back to the boat. off coarse i would keep 'windb*tch' to cat around in!

Hmmm...this sounds familiar...I'm trying to find a way out of Atlanta and back to the ocean....

Anyway, I'm biased towards heavy cutter rigged boats with big bowsprits, so make sure you include that as you evaluate my suggestions....

under 90K

Westsail 32

Valiant 40 (some)

over 90K

Cabo Rico 34/38...anywhere from 85-200 dependingon year

Gozzard 36/37...ok, these are big coin

Island Packet 35

Good luck.

Jeff.

westsail and valiant are excellent boats, and passagemakers. i have looked 'em up on the enet, , i hadnt considered these, thanks, hopefully i can find one around here to really look at. i love those crealock boats. why are they so cheap (relatively). just because they are older. the ads say they are solid

This one won't have the romantic apeal of some of the lead sleds mentioned but how bout the Gemini 105. Having lived abord a 30 foot monohull for two years I can say that this would be my choice. New boats are $12?k and a used one can be had for under or about $100k. Lots of room and deck space, huge head and shower, 18" draft with boards up and flat sailing. No matter what boat you end up with, it's worth doing. Winters can be a b*tch but the rest of the year it's sweet. www.geminicatamarans.com
