[#19924]

Well we had a fun day. Wind started at 13-15 and built to 20-25 with gust to 30. Sadly a 7 year old down the beach lost their life. ALWAYS wear a life jacket.

Doug, How did the child lose his life? That is a tragic day, but I am glad that you all had a good day on the water.

Babysitter was not doing job of watching him/her (not sure which one). And BIG thing no life jacket. No child should be allowed past calves without one on when it is blowing dogs off the chains. There are weird currents, holes and rip currents around the rocks of the dike (search for Texas City Dike). They have still not found the body. It is sad ,all busted there ()*(%%%&&%*()_'s looking for this kid. Hugs your kids every night, you never on if it may be the last time.

That is really sad, I bet there are some angry parents and a babysitter that feels really bad. Tragic that something like that happened but it reminds the rest of us how quickly it can happen.
