Powerboats with SA flags don't count.

Sir Murse, huh!
I thought this race was gonna happen for me, I love the OBX. Wife informed me her employer is gonna change health plans and companys in July. She isn't finished with cancer treatments yet so that means I must meet another deductible this year. 6k out and we have decent insurance.
WHERE IS THE HOPE, OBAMA! I ain't seen any yet!

You may want to see a male nurse about that problem of speaking of yourself in the third person. Usually indicates an inflated view of one's self worth.Maybe you need an appraisal.
Just trying to help you to help yourself.

Dave,

Thanks very much for the offer. For the wires, J has been the good Hobie contact. Staying laid back on the FX, like in a January Raleigh snow:

I wish we could do both but since my crew lives in Flowrey Branch I guess we will be at Reggae.

Tad, any idea who else might be there?

I remember a certain white/yellow hulled cat moving out of the way before the finish and eventually drifting into the committe boat because the J22's behind us had a

real

race going on. Hopefully the mono crowd will get a better show than that. <img src="<>/laugh.gif" alt="laugh" title="laugh" height="15" width="15" />

wtf was I supposed to do anyways? There was no wind...

and I didn't use that terminology either Derek.

It was more like

I don't want to starboard tack 3 J22's at the finish line in 0-0.5 knots of breeze.

You know I had to bring it up. <img src="<>/laugh.gif" alt="laugh" title="laugh" height="15" width="15" />

The coast is the place to be for summer sailing. For anyone that goes to Duck, I promise the sea breeze will not let you down.

Tad,

I hope that the J22s recipercated at the bar ... that was awefully nice of you.

Everyone have a Great Time at the Duck Cup and please toast the sunset for me ....

Hopefully next year as it's been too long since I've sailed at OBX.

Harry,

A very nice J22 towed us back to the beach on the windless lake. I don't know if it was one of the ones we

let finish

.

Fact of the matter was, I had no faith in my ability to avoid a collision, nor theirs considering nobody had any steerage of any sort.

Its been this weekend now since the it was the Michelob Cup in 1990.

I was told last night during Wednesday Night Racing that in the early 90's they'd go through 32 kegs at this event.

Its a huge party. Live reggae band...

three bands, three race courses, 16 fleets, 100+ boats, 400+ meals, and god knows how many libations to

administer

this weekend.

Trust me, I'd rather be at Duck, than running this circus.

We wish you were here , too.
Why didn't anybody point this out at the beginning of the year when the Duck Cup was put on the EMSA schedule? I think Jon has a few week window on the race, it could have been worked out.Maybe next year.

Erm, ummm. Gotta ask cause I didn't get to go -- everyone have a decent sail?

Plus, I notice Jon has a

yacht club

for yearly price. Anything like that down around Wilmington?

From what I heard a little t-storm popped up Saturday and made things interesting. I think Dave and Renee took the honors to keep the Cup for another year. Maybe someone that was lucky enough to be there can fill in the rest of the details.
