Bruce,

It's like this.

I love sailing UNi. On a general forum we have a greater opportunity to convert others so there are more Uni sailors to sail with.

I see the forums a bit like classes of boat.

Two many and we lose critical mass.

Just my opinion for what it is worth.

Regards,

Phill

Bruce,

If your talking about the pic that appears below my name.

You need to upload it to a sight that can be accessed for that pic. You also need to set up the URL to that pic in your Catsailor profile.

If you right click on the pic I have (my 10 yr old son sailing a Glider with me up the dumb end) and then on properties you will see where I have uploaded that pic just so it can be accessed by Catsailor.

Regards,

Phill

Hi,

The following is in our FAQs at the top of the page in the Forum:

In order to add an image to your message or your signature, you must have the image already available on a web server. This can be an image on your own personal web page, for example. To place an image within a message, simply use the following Markup Tag:

http://www.url_to_image.com/image_name.gif

however in order to use mark up, go to the FAQ for specific markup language

For example, if you have an image called cateye.gif and its available from your own website at www.mywebsite.com/pics, then you would use the following image markup:

[Linked Image]

You can do the same for your signature. Click the My Home option found on any page. Then, under the Main Configuration heading, click on "Personal Information, email, password...". Look for the Signature box, and enter your desired information, including any images/markup as above.

Note: To keep the forums loading quickly for everyone, it is recommended that you do not exceed 35k for your image size.

Also, for attaching a file (which sometimes becomes inoperative) try this:

When you preview your post you will have the opportunity to attach a file to your post.

Thanks,

Rick
