Granted there aren't many of them currently, but hey, any head's-up is welcome right?

Dude I might never sail in the south again! Cape Cod doesn't look too pretty either!

I just pulled up the track of Mary Lee, a 16 foot Great White that I'm surprised they managed to tag...lots of forging raids along the Georgia/SC border. Definitely NOT sailing anywhere NEAR this beast.

Dude I just pulled up her track... you could throw a rock off of Hilton Head island and hit her at one point. Scary stuff.

I've been following the Ocearch program for about a year now, and Mary Lee stayed in the surf line in Jacksonville for about a week. She also went up into ocracoke inlet, Outer banks ,NC, briefly. Fischer used to have the show called Go Fisch, and has now moved on to shark preservation and fighting finning. They also have a TV show detailing the tagging, done on a lift, which is INSANE.

HOLY SH&T, they're (Sabrina, at least - but I'll bet she has friends) circling Pete's house.... Right where I fell off his trapeze....

how many beach cat sailors have been attacked, bit, killed, eaten by sharks?

I sail with in the gulf every weekend, have yet to see one jump into anyone's boat (unless attached to a rod/reel)

Sharks don't want cat sailors, they are typically (and relatively) skinny from all that tacking and sheeting and snuffing. they want a nice fat slow-boat captain to fall in ...

We were assessed as a food source by a big one as we were sitting becalmed while 6 kids swam off the back of their cats about 300m away. It decided we would taste like **** and did nothing wrong but it took me weeks to settle down.
