Tradewinds, it's F!@#ing on B!tches!
Anyone else arriving around then and interested in sharing a ride?

My crew's flight gets in at 7:45. Maybe ya'll can hook up. Oh, and please tell him I'll have the boat rigged and polished, and the beer iced down for him . . .
I believe Tad said he
retired from competitive sailing
so if you want to race him you can't be competitive. Just don't bet him anything( maybe that's what's too competitive)...he has a problem paying up.

Too outa shape to pull 'em how I expect them to be pulled. Although I wouldn't rule it out, I'm just better on the other end of the boat.

I would rather go with;
the required skill sets are different but no less challenging on either end of the boat. Experience on either end will help somewhat to offset shortcomings on the other but experience on both positions is required to play near the top.

When I sail my Blade, I am crew and driver. Generally I am mediocre at both <img src="<>/frown.gif" alt="frown" title="frown" height="15" width="15" />
Red Rash needs a strong crew and no one knows the boat better than Joe. Besides, the weight balance works better with me driving <img src="<>/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" />
edit: Jake said it right, as usual!

I enjoy working at either end of the boat...it's awesome when it comes together. 😉
For some of us it is more the midwinters then a
weekend regatta
, by that I mean those of us who come from lands that no longer have soft water this time of the year 😉
Now, will it be shorts and t-shirt weather, or perhaps I might have to put a shortie on! This canuck is tired from all the snow I have moved around in the past 48 hours!
The cards are in it for me for this Tradewinds. I've just about regained my strength from the flu/stomach bug this weekend and tonight I should have enough in me to dig out the boat and all the ice crusted 8 inches of snow behind my (now depressingly large) gates I built for the Mahal. After the trip into work this morning, I have little doubt it will require engagement of 4WD to break the General from his icy chains...but I only need to get about 30 miles south of home and the freeway should be smooth sailing....come'on Key Largo!
Yikes! Glad heading through the armpit of SC - Columbia - is an option! I'm hoping that my showing up at work early today (with only about 10% people reporting) might buy me some additional leniency to hitting the road earlier than planned tomorrow. The ice wasn't quite so bad our way and the freeways are moving today. All the salt and saline they had went on the freeway with more expected to come from Charleston this afternoon - the secondary and back roads haven't been touched and are going to be even rougher tomorrow after a dip into the teens tonight.
....bastard.
