Tim, where are you getting your forecasts from?

Further up in this string, at the bottom of page 2, there is a link to Islemorada weather. Are you coming down Tom? Bring the F31!

Oh, for Andi, sorry, it does say MPH, not Knots. Still, plenty of wind for two up. I just sent you a PM, and I'm going out back to put the boat on the trailer now. See ya!

For all you people that apply credence to the wind information in a weather forecast 5 days out...I've got some swamp land I will sell you.

Yep, while they're forecasting the wind, go ahead and ask them for the lottery numbers since they've got their crystal balls out...

I don't know, but my weather report says 10-15 knots on Saturday and

up to

20 knots on Sunday. And it's not like you have to deal with big waves and surf. Sounds ideal.

What in the jumpin-G-hoso-phats!? Did you just cancel because of a 5 day forecast!? Aren't you a pilot and someone who studies the weather quite a bit? You should know better than that....

on second thought...go ahead. That pretty much GUARANTEES two of the most beautiful sailing days for the year.

And the air temps? Upper 70's, right? What's the water temp down there now, I think the Gulf near Tampa is about 65 right now so it's got to be a little warmer than that.

Um, excuse me Jake-butt, I am coming down on Thursday, sailing on Friday-Sunday and staying Sunday night, to return on Monday. I only cancelled my motel because I have found another location to stay. What day are you coming down? I'm only asking about the water temps because I like to sail in shorts and a T shirt, and if I can leave the wetsuit at home, I will.

Actually the forecast sounds PERFECT to me. I was always coming because I have a friend flying in from Switzerland, so no matter what, we will be there, but I wanted it to be good for him.

I was worried it would either be too cold or too hot, and too much wind or too little, but it looks like it should be right in the middle, both days. The local Tampa Wx. men are saying a cold front will come about half way down the state and stall out on Friday, should be some good south winds with warm temps in the Keys, which will be on the south side of the front the entire weekend. Of course, you never know with these guys...look at how well they forecast hurricanes!

Hey now, if Jake had read the entire thread he would have seen my post from a week ago (look on page 2 I think, Jan. 8?) where I did say I had found another place to stay, and if anyone wanted my room, please drop me a line. So that's what you get for coming in late. And Jerry, don't you still owe me a beer for that free rudder casting I got you??? Sam Adams please, a 6 pack is all, since I'm on a diet.

Seth did say he might need the room, so I was

holding

my reservation for him, but on Monday it was decided he also had another place to stay, so I then cancelled my res. BUT, I was hoping any of you who might be having trouble finding a place to stay would be able to pick up my room, that's why I re-posted the info.

Just see if I try to do anything nice for you clowns again...STARBOARD!! <img src=

Oh, that reminds me, Rick, do we need we need to bring some sort of proof of insurance with us?

You have a mile marker for the Pizza Place? This is for Friday night, right? I could be at the Miami airport until after 6pm on Thursday, from there I figure at least an hour to Tavenier?
