[#23617]

Hello all- A couple weeks ago my son shot a short video while out on the trapeze of our 17 Supercat. The video was shot sailing out of Hecksher State Park on LI. Winds were about 10-12kts. from the NW. Flat bay- good acceleration. Great South Bay with no boat traffic and a nice breeze...Nice! Go check it out on youtube.com, search 17 supercat and you will see us sailing Great South Bay. Enjoy!

Thank you Jake for posting the video here. At 48 I am still learning the picture posting video uploading thing! I am sure that my 13 year old could have showed me how to do it- but where's the challenge in that? Thanks again. Mark. <img src=

What was it i was promoting? – Nothing… just shooting a video of 2 boats sailing.

PDF's are a personal choice.. Just like helmets on a bike...

We sail most of the time in the intracoastal waters here in Dunedin, fl. You could walk to the beach it is so shallow.

I personally wear one when i leave the shallow waters, or when the wind or waves make me feel it is more possible to need it.

All us who don’t wear one at all times understand and accept the associated risk.

I don’t drink (I was the one shooting the video).

I'm sorry Its just I hear alot about the drinking and boating and people drowning. It wasn't directed as a personal attack. Please accept my appoligies.

Great video Andrew! Looks like you had some very consistant wind that day. It gets pretty gusty up here on LI this time of year and makes it difficult to fly a hull constantly. You guys make it look so easy....Be well. Mark.

I also need to know where you guys got those great beverage holders?. I have never seen one that can hang off of a vertical cable like that. Thanks. Mark.

It's not a catamaran, but it does have a couple of cat sailors on board. This is the ride in after racing last Friday afternoon -

My girlfriend was up there for that regatta. She said it was HONKIN' on Friday! M24 is a blast, but I have yet to sail one in that much breeze.
