Anyone know of any Hobie 16s for sale that are less than 10 years old? I am on a budget but could afford one that is a few years old but in good shape. Location is not crucial. Thanks!

Pretty sure he has sold it already, or is in the process of it.

Anything else for sale?

I have a buyer for my '82 H16 for an amazing price but its killing me to sell it without having another boat to sail this summer.

Was the 2005 boat you were looking at on the coast of NC sold?

Someone put a deposit down on it before I was able to.

I'm kind of glad though because the guy seemed kind of flakey. He told me one morning this week that the boat was still available and then later in the day he told me that he received a deposit the night before. I'm glad I didn't send him a deposit that morning or else he may have just kept both of our deposits.

Thanks. Its a little out of my price range and a little out of my way geogrphically.

I have $4k-ish and will be traveling from Indiana to Florida next weekend. I'm willing to stop anywhere remotely on my way.

I gotta say I noticed that he spelled Morehead City wrong in his ad. It's a bad sign on CL when the seller can't spell the name of the town he lives in. <img src="<>/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" />

You might want to check with the Hobie dealers along the way to see if they know of a good boat for sale. Backyard Boats in VA and Sail and Ski in SC are not so far out of your way. There is one in Kitty Hawk too but that's a big detour!

Try Andy at TackleShack in Pinellas Park, FL. If Andy can't find what you want it doesn't exist. Plus you wouldn't have to tow an unknown trailer x thousand miles. Where are you going in FL? There are already a few cats here. Look at FL CL listings. Other boats may fit the local culture better, too. <img src="<>/wink.gif" alt="wink" title="wink" height="15" width="15" />

I have been scanning through craigslist posts from all over the country without any luck. I'll check with these places that you all have mentioned.

I'm tempted to pick up the trailex double stack trailer in Ohio that was posted last week. Only problem is then I could end up with two trailers if I find a boat that comes with a trailer.

Check with Craig at Performance Sailing Center in Cocoa Beach. Just up the coast from you. He still has a beach front launching area in Melbourne. He always has something laying around and or can get you something. 321-613-5655

Hobie 16 model 2010, race ready.
Equipped with Spinnaker
Also has Furling jib, which makes recreational sailing even simpler.
Comes on Trailex 418 Aluminum trailer
with Toy box
and Cat Trax beach wheels.

This is a great package, I really don't use it enough to justify keeping it.
Asking price $8900

More pictures available upon request.
