14.6 knots... At least we know our patched up old Hobie 18's are faster than tricked out rotomolders!

Nothing like a Hobie 18 when it's whitecapping.

I'm thinking of buying a trapeze for my hobie club wave. Does it work well on the Wave ? Any problems using the trap on a Wave ? Thanks . Jeff

Don't knock it, almost 17mph is pretty decent on most Cats, including your H18, & my Nacra's.
Remember, the Wave is only a 13' boat.
It can be cartopped if need be, & a couple of kids can set it up. There are about a dozen kids who sail one near my house. They have a ton of fun, & their parents don't have to watch over them.
If a guy wants to drive the Holy Hell out of a Wave, more power to him.
