[#1647]

Got a new Gopro camera to take some video with. Here's a clip I put together. Pretty basic editing with imovie which isn't very advanced. I'm at the helm. I am paralyzed so that's why I run the rig the way I do.

Enjoy!

Danny.

Really nice video. I have been thinking about getting one of those Gopros. The picture and color quality look great. Have you tried the optional mounts? If so, did they work well?

popeyez is right. Please wear your PFD's at all times. 🙂

Wearing a PFD is a personal decision, not a law.

Awesome vid!

I agree, anyone can say whatever they want, but this is a personal choice, much like a bike helmet. everyone knows they are safer to wear one, but it is their choice.

I have the head mount (strap and helmet), they work great but one of the 3 mount attachments pionts did recently break. I contacted GOPro and they are sending out a replacement.

The head strap can be wrapped around the boom of my boat as a different attachment point as well.

I also have the roll bar mount for my spin pole, also worked fine.

Agreed....hence the "Please".

I think I will make the move on the GoPro. Looks like a good product.

Thanks.

Thanks for the responses. The GoPro is great, I attached one of the mounts to a HeadLight set. We're using it to make the vid. Next time I'll concentrate on slower head movements. I'm happy with it's performance so far.

Thanks for your concern on the PFD's.

~~ The GoPro's are great... I have 6 of them-- 4 normal ones and 2 of the wide angle ones, and I just bought most of the mounts that go with them. They had a new one come out where you can program the 'card' if you have to mount it up-side down it will still take movies 'right-side up'...
I'am not sure of that model name or number... PM me and I will try to find it.......
As for the PFDs.... it is a choice, we have over 27,000 members on here, we don't like to lose any and I'am sure your friends & family want to keep ya around also~~~

Ditto on the PFD's - we want to see more awsome vids from you!

Early in the vid- what is the pole dragging behind in the water? Is it the tiller?

Eric, yes the tiller is what's dragging. I have been using the crossbar to steer with.
