Questions: Do you have insurance on your boat(s)? Which carrier? What is the annual premium?

Thanks!

Have insurance with the same company that I have car insurance with. Alfa, $100/year. 2002 Nacra F18. Had a 91 Nacra 5.5 SL and it was the same price.

My homeowner's insurance (State Farm) automatically insures any sailboat under 25ft (without an engine) without an increase in premium. It is liability only, mind you.

Full coverage with Boat US is around 160 per year. You need to become a member but it gets you rewards at West Marine.

I just checked with State Farm (in Illinois) who told me that my home owners policy will cover any sailboat under 20 feet without a motor for whatever the liability coverage is on my home owners policy (in my case $500k). It is just liability coverage though which is ok for those of us who sail cheapo beaters. 😆

I pay ~$130/yr for 1998 NACRA 6.0NA and ski tracter (1975 Hydrodyne Tournament Skier i/o), I have a rider on my auto through Progressive for replacement at value of ~$25K. Liability is under a separate policy.

You can get liability from progressive for at about $100/year
