[#2168]

I'm always looking for good cats and cat parts, most i don't need/can't afford, so i periodically like sharing my finds. Feel free to post yours too!

As i decided to post this thread, i had a private message from a member that i forwarded a really really nice boat. While the price wasn't exactly cheap, it was definitely a boat worth owning. Postings don't necessarily have to be a $500 boat, but something worth buying. Since most of us are buying/own boats that are 20+ years or older, nice boats are kind of hard to come by, regardless of price.

Prindle 16 - $1000

Prindle 18.2- $2200

Prindle 19 - $2650

Older cat-trax - $250(panama city-ish)

*Disclaimer - if the pictures are expired, or don't show, the item is probably sold.

Post up your finds!

Interesting, never seen CatTrax with stainless steel axles, wonder how much heavier that would be than the standard Aluminum axle?

I willing to bet this isn't a 1997. By then Hobie switched to integrated tracks and black anodized frames. May still be a decent deal though.

www.searchtempest.com is a great search engine to use to search the entire CL database, you can choose search parameters such as distance or State/City, you can include E-Bay and Amazon, and even change keyword settings. From my experience, I've used keywords such as Hobie/Prindle/catamaran/sailboat, or you can get specific such as Hobie 18. I've also come to realize that many people either cannot spell or make typo errors and use Hobby or Hobbie for Hobie, I've found many a deal using those words. And of course the biggest faux pas of them all, spelling trailer as.....trailor.

And those of you who have to google the word "faux pas"......shame on you. 😆

😆 ...hear u man, should be a law that keeps 2" a standard throughout the country, I have to carry 2 different slides, 1 with 1 7/8" ball and 1 with 2" ball, sometimes forget to change out the 1 7/8" slide and wonder why the trailEr keeps banging every time I apply the breaks........ :wallbash:

That Hobie 14 has a dolphin striker rod and bar already, would not take too much to turn it into a H14Turbo by adding a jib
