I have an '85 H16 that has a lot of flex. I have read the articles and given my application of not breaking down the frame except to replace parts, I can't think of a reason not to epoxy it. Have tried shims, tightning the tramp, etc..
Has anyone had success in removing epoxied parts with heat?
Any stong advise to do or not to do the epoxy?
Any advice on where to purchase the rivits cheap without buying four times what I need?
Please give me your input, pro or con.

Ditto. Especially if it has a red glue seam on the hull/deck joint. (That means it is one of the light '84/'85 boats.)
If it doesn't have the red glue seam, have it weighed. If it weighs over 340 - sell it and get a '95 or newer boat.
Just finished epoxying mine and tightening up the tramp and am very pleased with how much slack is now gone out of the boat. It gets my vote.
What do you include with this weight? Mast,sails,rudders?
It includes everything other than stuff you wear - trap harnesses, etc.
Here's the quote from the rule book:
19.1 The minimum boat weights shown in the individual Class Rules are for each class of boat, ready to sail, with all permanently attached and non movable racing equipment EXCLUDING the following:
a) Cushions
b) Life jackets
c) Trapeze harnesses
d) Tool bags
e) Personal gear
f) Crew weight
19.2 All weights required to bring a boat to minimum weight shall be permanently attached during a regatta and shall not be usable for any other purpose.
I followed the instructions from www.thebeachcats.com and was very impressed with the results. I would make two recommendations:
1. Measure the before frame flex off the trailer. Flex in the trailer was making it worse than it actually was.
2. If you buy the West Systems epoxy mixing pots, don't throw them away. Wait until the epoxy hardens, flex the container, and the dried epoxy will fall out. Very reusable.
I easily had 1.5 - 2 ft flex prior. After I was done it was between 1 - 2 inches.
