I just bought an 1980 H16, and I am having a blast as I start to get the hang of it. $400 - solid hulls, good rigging, decent sails, 4 trapeze lines, good tramp, good trailor.

Are there any H16 folks on Lake Lanier, just North of Atlanta? If so, drop me a note at bill.versteeg(at)sciatl.com next time you go out. I would like see how you rig the H16. I think I have it about right, but I would like to be sure.

I have been looking around for Hobie events on Lanier, but have not found much.

Hobie Fleet 12 is based in Atlanta. They host a two day reggatta at Lake Lanier, usually in the spring. Try Tammy Duran at 770-531-0397.

Mike Krantz at Layline is a top notch cat sailor. Try him at:

Cinco De Mayo and Reggae Regatta are just a couple of the multihull events at Lake Lanier Sailing Club. Definitely talk to Mike, he will help you out.
