I have sanded down the old tread pattern on my 16 and I will be putting on a new tread pattern, hopefully tomorrow or in the next couple of days. I have my own ideas, but I would love to see examples of anyone who has done this so I can get some more input. Just to answer any obvious questions, I sanded down the entire deck(s), filled soft spots with epoxy, and re-geled the decks of the hulls. Now I am ready to apply a Total Boat Deck Grip paint with a Kiwi applicator. I am going to put my own pattern of 2-3" diamonds on the same areas where the original cross hatch used to be. But I want to see some other personal creations!

You could do chevrons, instead. It would be a bit easier than making individual diamonds.
Good idea. I will think about that. Turns out, there have not been a lot of ideas out there.
