jib tuning
The way I understand it
The rake (determined by jib halyard) should be set so that the mainsheet blocks are touching when there is proper leach tension in the main. (Maybe a little more than proper leach tension so you have some range)
The jib lead should be attached so that you also get proper tension in the jib leach.

in my square sailing experience, we call blocks touching "chock-a-block" or "to-block" just reminiscing of the 5 years i spent onboard the nyckel, ahhhh nothing like doing 10 knots up the coast of cape cod heeling so hard you can walk on the sides of vertical objects without much effort.....
