I have a Hobie 16. I am replacing the tramp for the first time. I am installing a 1 pc. bias tramp. (I know, not class legal) I think that rule is BS anyway! Can anyone point me to a link or give me tips on how to lace it properly such as line size, length, and technique?

quite a few years ago I put on a one piece tramp on my 16, and it came with everything that I needed for the job from Salty Dog Marine. It came with inserts that go into the rear cross beam, and then laced in from the ends to the center.

I should say that I have since come to not like the one piece tramp. NOT because it isn't class legal, but I had come to enjoy having a place to brace my feet on the tramp when I would get it too high. The one piece does not offer that in its design.

Hopefully in a week or two, I can put my tramp back on and post some pictures for you too see.
