I wanna be a pirate. Well, not to the point where I board your boat and take you on in hand to hand combat but maybe shoot at you and your boat with a paintball gun. I think that it would be a hoot to be on the lake chasing each other, hanging on the wire and tagging each other. Imagine two

navies

shooting it out on the water. I imagine boat control, speed and tactics would make this a blast.

Comments?

Not that those

pirates

dont need to be offed, but Im talking dogfights on the water with no permanent injury to ones body. Pride maybe. Think of it as lazertag on the water. I think it would be stuff of legends.

Dodgeball on the water....how could it not be fun?

Brandy with tennis ball is a training technique already...and good fun. Not sure if cats are manoeuvrable enough though.

small water canons and water balloon sling shots are standard equipment on most of the boats in our fleet.

This kind of behavior has been going on long before I joined the fleet.

Fleet....I am the fleet on my lake. Every once in awhile another cat is seen on the water.

Bummer, I guess if I had not found the NM Hobie fleet, I would probably be doing a lot of time on the water by myself.

Where do you sail?

Sam

I sail in north texas. There is a Hobie fleet that is closer to Dallas. I live just a few min from a lake so it isnt really cost effective to tow 50 miles. My home lake is starting to see more sail traffic at the marina in the form of monohull cruisers though.

The closest lake to me is 45 Minutes away. Most of the time, I travel 2 hours or more to go sailing. Of coarse, we stay at least 2 nights sometimes more.

It might be worth one or two trips to the other lakes to sail with the fleet.

Dallas is a 10 hour Drive from Albuquerque. That being said, it is a few months out and a slim chance I could make plans. I will keep this on the list of things to think about.

Thanks
Sam

That's close enough I wouldn't mind going for a day or two just to watch.

Ohhhh man, If I drive that far, you can bet it would not be for watching. Even if I didn't race. I would be happy to help out as a volunteer.
