I snapped my jib forstay which lead to the grommet on the bottom leading edge of my jib to rip out. I know a seamstress who thinks she can fix it but is there anything special i need to have done since it is a dacron sail? Will normal threads work? Any inout will help.
Thanks.

I don't know where you are located, but something similar happend to me, I ripped out the head-gromment during a de-masting. I sent mine to an Ullman Sail Loft in Oriental, NC. They did an exceptional job with the repair and re-inforced the area.
