Hi. I am looking for a brave and patient sailor willing to give me a refreshing course in hobie sailing and rigging. I need a day or two of sailing on hobie out of Heckscher. I will pay a reasonable buck for your time. I want to buy a used hobie but first I need to know how to take good care of it.

Not sure of my geography up there, but you're welcome to come to Roton Point (near Norwalk, CT) next month (June 15-20th) where you will see factory representatives setting up and tuning brand new Hobie 16s. It's the site of the Multihull Championship, and there will be a lot of great sailors at the club all day, every day that week, that I know would be happy to talk to you. The following week, the show moves across the Sound to Sea Cliff YC (on the NY side) for the Youth Championship. There will still be a factory rep there that, when he's not busy, would be a great resource for you.

If you make it to either location, look for me and we'll get the conversation started. Hope to see you soon! Good luck!
