Does anybody know If there are some good regattas to attend this spring around Long Island? I've been hearing about some great spring races but they all require a plane ticket.

We're working on getting together sunday races off of Cedar Beach in southold. It's just west of shelter island. It's a great place to launch and sail. There's a long parking lot next to the beach where you can back up your trailer and slide your boat onto the beach wheels. We can race windward/leewards in noyack bay or do distance races around shelter island or head west into little peconic and great peconic bay around robins island.
