Adjustable Spreaders Measurement Check

Here's a drawing of the spreaders I have (they are only adjustable by the three slots on the ends of the arms):

Thanks Tim, that is a lot less rake and length than I found earlier.

I would imagine more length could be a problem if sloop rigged - it would catch on the jib. No problem cat rigged though.

I have my wires in the rear-most slot because I am light (74kg) and sail cat rigged - so I'm keen to de-power.

It's important to check where the wires are attached at the base of the mast when comparing rigs. Mine are attached to a single point on the front of the mast. If diamonds are attached to the sides then more spreader rake will be required to achieve the same effect.

Good points, my wires are attached on the sides and the current spreader length does push into the jib if rotated too much with narrow sheeting position.
