Do you guys know of any bushing/rebuild kits for traveler cars, this is an old set-up, buts works fine until now. Any help would be appreiciated, don't know if this is the right place to post this?? sorry in advance

I saved this info from a post a few years ago. Your
traveler car looks like mine and I was able to find
new rollers (bearings) online from a RWO dealer.
Looks like your traveler car is a RWO Part # R343. These
cars were commonly used on Tornados in the late seventies
and eighties. Replacement rollers are available from RWO
(Marine Equipment) Limited, Church Road, Benfleet Essex UK
SS7 4QW phone(03745) 52821. The new rollers are a press fit
over the punch marks at the ends of the spindles
If your traveler track is molded into the beam, then replacing the rollers may be your only option. If it is not, then you could upgrade to a new track and car system. The newer systems are sure smoother, but at what cost, and do you really need it?
That is what I have on my tornado. It is good to know that replacement rollers are available. That looks like it is on an older Tornado as well. It looks like the rear beam that Sailcraft of Canada used then.
...and is the same beam and traveler car Mystere used. Since your up there you try to find one from Mystere.
Just a word of warning. Some of these replacement wheels have appeared softer than the originals. If they are too soft send them back. After two sets of replacement wheels I eventually bought a new traveler with harder wheels for about £18.

You are right this is an older Mystere, but many older Mystere parts are hard to find, as there not around anymore.My sails and mast are Sailcraft indeed, but not sure about the traveler. Wow you guys still blow me away with the knowledge on this site, thanks again

BUT LET ME WARN YOU!!!! THEY ARE NOT HONORABLE, HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, SEND OUT USED PARTS AND I WOULD RECOMED AGAINST TRYING TO GET PARTS FROM THEM
I paid for new upper rudder castings, the adjusters that go in them and the delron ends (that attach to the crossbar). The order was sent out without the adjusters. When i called and told them she said she didnt look at the order and just sent what they gave her. It took about 80 days for all the parts (and about a dozen telephone calls).
The castings were in terribly rough shape (either used or just completely rough). When I called to ask why they weren’t anodized she said.. because they are sailed only in fresh water?????????? – huh?
They promised to send them (and send me a tracking number)... and they didnt. i had called them many times and all I got was empty promises. I continually gave them my email address to send tracking info.. but they didnt send it.
after the 3rd call i thought they might actually have sent them, but they didnt arrive. So i called and they claimed to be on backorder, but didn’t tell me till I called 3 weeks later.
When I finally got the adjusters (last week).. they are USED! I can see the wear from the rubber locking cams and they are bent (and worn)!
The girls name is Celine, and i have spoke with her many times. One time I called and she pretended to be someone else. 5 minutes later my friend called, and guess who answered the phone….

Yeh, well you know, there is one more option, look'n for a newer, bigger cat.This one push'n 25+ yrs old This one sails so nice, I have enough parts to get my by, besides our weather is getting cold, these days.Storage is just around the corner.
