Hey gang!

I'm planning on arriving in Caseville on Wednesday, Aug 20. Is anyone planning on doing a little sailing prior to the Great Lakes Can/Am showdown? I have the ability to bring 3 practice marks for some F17 cruising around the cans. Any takers? Or do I get the lake all to myself? <img src=

I may re arrange my vacation and try to get there Wednesday. I have to get my sailboat and a mark set boat to the site. It might take me all day to get both boats there. Gas is no object...that's just how we roll.

Hey guys--Angie and I will be there on wed prior to the event.. What do you guys think about some sort of informal tuning session, clinic for the SW mast boat. Sailing followed by a cookout. We could provide the grub for a little shin dig wed or thurs night at the beach pavillion.

Share and exchange some knowledge about going fast upwind and down!!!!!

If I can get a

hall pass

, as Bill W would call it, I would plan on coming in for wednesday and thursday. I have a wedding friday I need to be home for. It would be great to not have to leave home at 4am saturday to get the boat setup in time for the first race.

Hey, I like that Bill!! Anyway, I'm thinkin' that a Thursday seminar w/water time and dinner would work best. I will be arriving sometime late morning on the 20th so Thursday would work the best for me. What do y'all think, that work for everyone? I have been in touch with the Chamber and maybe we can get some F17 press out of it too!

Hey gang!

Looks like Thursday the 21st is our best time for a quickie seminar and then some sailing. Let's tentatively shoot for a 1030am talk down at the boats followed by lunch then some sailing time. Focus will be the SW alum mast settings and general fast stuff for that rig. Of course on Wed we can adjust any times, weather permitting.

I'm looking forward to a 18 hour drive!!

Thanks Tom!

Hopefully one of us will have a laptop and have the ability to send in reports to the forum. I think Rent-A-Center has them and I may check one out. It would be nice for bringing a memory stick along with all my

special

weather sites!

I'll have the camera and the laptop with me. As long as there is someone who can shoot from the committee or mark boat, we should get a lot of great shots. Caseville had free wifi last year, hopefully it is still there this year because my aircard doesn't work in the thumb.

I was at Caseville a couple of weeks ago to work on the event and the Wifi is still free. We should be able to update to our website daily. Not me, but someone who has the talent to download and post.

We will be able to update the scoring each evening and upload to the website.

Bob,

Bring some marks. I can help with some practice races on Thursday or Friday if you would like. I will have my motorboat at the site on Wednesday evening.

I just heard that Eric might splash his powerboat and help us with a little afternoon practice on Thursday. That would be sweet!!! <img src=

Does anyone know of a carwash in Caseville to wash off the boat from the road mess?

So Bob, what time of day are you leaving Wednesday? Before Fay arrives?

I know its a long way out, but damn it sure sucks this has the potential to hit Florida just as folks are thinking about traveling north. I hope it swings away so you folks don't have to decide what to do at the last minute. Stay or vacation.
