This coming Saturday, July 19th, we will be having a NACRA practice day at Key Sailing for those who are planning on rolling north and attending the F17 North Americans. This will be a 'round the cans practice event without a committee boat. Only Nacra 20s, F18s, and F17s are invited.
This will be the first of a few weekends we will get together and practice for the big race. Send me an email so I know who is showing up! Get to the beach early 'cause it crowds up after 930am. Plan on leaving the beach around 1130am and returning later that day. For any out of towners, there are 2 F17s at Key Sailing. Contact Kirk to see if he can make one or both available for use.

Alrighty then!
We have a committee boat run by a nice volunteer with marks and flags.. well a mini regatta! It should be a great practice for the big event coming up in just 4 weeks!!

Well.....,
Our committee boat's engine decided to not fire so we had a jetski tow it out for the day. We were able to get off 7 races with the F17 winning 2 of them boat for boat! <img src=

/> Winds were 6-8 and blasted in around 10-15 for the majority. The final 2 races were in the 7-10 range.
A lot of the 20 crews showed their rust and it was fun having the
rabbits
out there to chase. The next scheduled NACRA ONLY practice session is August 2nd at Key Sailing. Hope to see a few more 17s there! <img src=
