I'm repairing large holes (budget restricted) in my Prindle 16 mainsail. I'm ordering fabric. About what weight might the fabric in my sail be?

6oz for sure. How big is big? I know you are on a budget but you can get a decent used sail for $200 so I wouldnt sink too much time in money into a major repair.
