Flyer felt sluggish in the race last night. Had more rig tension than ever before. Could that be the reason? If so, why? (Rig still rotated to 90 degrees for downwind).

I'm no expert, but whenever I have increased rig tension the boat felt livelier, as in MORE responsive.
