we've enjoyed two very nice sails at night in the past few days, under the full moon.. great experience!
we have battery operated nav lights on the Hobie 16, cheap and widely available so we're safe and legal.
Biscayne bay is absolutely fantastic at night under the full moon! great visibility, terrific views of downtown!
last night we went out around 11:30 for a 2 hour sail from Dinner Key up to viscaya, windsurfer beach and back... nice breze, relaxing sailing...
if you haven't done it yet, give it a try! we're blessed with one of the best body of waters in the country and too few seem to enjoy it!
beats staying home and watching TV....
