Don't forget to bring lunch.

Key Biscayne, skippers meeting is at 10:30 as usual.

I won't be at this one unfortunately. I'm going on vacation for a couple of weeks and will be back the day before the Fowley light race. May do that one if we get back in time.

Eric, did you rig a spinnaker pole on you new boat?

Have fun

Hopefully I will be there. Cant make the Fowley race though. I plan on participating this race with or without a crew.

Do you think that will be a problem? A Hobie 16 solo?

It is set up for a spin, I just haven't rigged it yet. Look at the pole in the pic in my first post. Here is a good pic.

Eric,

Have you done the Fowley light race before? When they say for "experienced" sailors what exactly does it mean? I guess I shoud be asking John that question.

Robi,

I don't see any reason why you couldn't sail the race solo on your H16 other than just not being comfortable doing it. I sail my TheMightyHobie18 with the Jib, and daggerboards frequently solo in the Ocean. It is a little overpowering when its choppy and windy but I imagine a 16 would be a little easier.

Maybe not.

Dunno, dont want to see myself in trouble if I were to flip the boat, and cant get her right side up again. that would suck major "you know what"

Yes, I have done Fowey before. I imagine that the "experience" is mentioned because the race leaves the protection of the bay and things quite often change drastically and quickly.

How did the race go? Sux that I couldnt participate, no crew, no fun.

Cant wait to get my F16! No need to depend on a crew.
