I hope to sail in the upcoming fowey rocks race. It's been decades since I raced but I'm very excited and looking forward to learning a lot.

Should I get a thin wetsuit? Is there some other attire that's better suited for racing a cat? Where should I go to get it? Is there a local store? Online?

Thanks for your feedback.

Click on the online store button at the top of the page and you'll have your new sailing gear tomorrow. Purchased from someone who knows and cares about cat sailing.

Hi Adelatorre,

Yes, you might want to have a wetsuit for next Saturday's race. It is getting to be that time of year when a wetsuit feels very good unless it is 90 degrees that day. You can pick up wetsuits or spray suits at West Marine, Murray's (www.murrays.com)or the Marine Store on this website. Give me a call if you want more details about the Fowey Light Distance Race or the what to wear question. 305 251-7600
