I'm refitting a 1979 Mac 36 that looks like it is basically in stock configuration...that is no center decking or center cabin, and no significant mods.
When I got it there was an ancient Honda 9.9 suspended on a very flimsy (bent) homemade bracket from the rear crossbar. What is the best way to mount a new outboard? The transoms look like a good choice but the fiberglass is quite thin.
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience with this cat.
