Through out the week there are only a couple of Jet ski users on lake Ida I guess they finally ran into each other.The girl was hit in the head by a relative when she abruptly turned into his path. She is in critical condition but still alive, a bass fisherman pulled her out of the water nearby.
Did she have a cleft palate?
Over memorial day weekend we were camping on one of the spoil islands near the causeway when two jet skis came by at speed. The one up front turned abruptly and the other one hit him head on. 18 year old kid took the front of the ski in the face peeling about a quarter of his face off. You could see his sinuses. Lucky for him we had a nurse and master diver in the group and they administered first aid until help arrived. Very lucky to be alive. Typically they were both borrowed skis.
I guess the "Drive this craft like a raving lunatic and you will risk death" sticker must not have been in place again.
