Hello all,
I am new to the forum and would like to find out how to obtain plans for an F12 boat. I am 5'9" and 175lbs and wonder if I would be too big for one of these boats.
Thanks
Dewey

Welcome to the forum Dewey, Your not to big but it depends on what you want to do, my lad and I have sailed on his 11 ft Arafura Cadet going along fine total weight of 145kg or 320lbs and the F12 has a greater buoyancy. You can sail in light wind or if you have plenty of wind where you sail you'll have great fun on the F12, you can pull the main sheet hard on the high aspect sail and have control in 30knots

Thanks Jeff,
I'm glad to hear the F12 won't be too small. I am looking to build something that I can sail solo and have an easier time launching and hauling single-handed, unlike my Hobie 16.
I just wish I could find plans. I tried e-mailing Chris Tucker but have not received a reply.

The foam f12 gato built was designed by ncik who also posts here. I sent him all the ds12 drawings and he spec'd an alternate set of hulls to fit under the same rig/beams/tramp etc

I'm still here even if not so often. I'm glad to help if somebody needs help with the Tabby.

I wonder how the Aussie 3 metre trimaran would do vs Formula 12?

F12 is the clear winner. Longer waterline, less weight, larger sail area and easier to build. Price should be about the same.
