Just out of curiosity, what weight are most of you sailing at? I'm currently at 175lbs (down from 219 last year), and sail at the mouth of the CHesapeake Bay. Conditions vary from no wind to last weekends 18-20, when I wish I'd had the extra weight back. I figure that 165-175 is about where my boat will perform the best. By the way, my boat, rigged as a sloop weighs in about 195 lbs.
Any thoughts?

Well ,I'm only 16 years old, so I weigh about 150lbs. Keeping the hulls down can get fun in heavier conditions, but this only results in hull flying <img src=

I was thinking that the best weight for this platform might be around 165 lbs, and was wondering what the rest of the world thought. My little boat does well enough, but likes my weight forward, like at the front beam, except for downwind, in breeze I need to be back about the rudder casting.
