All sailors interested in F16, read this !
All sailors interested in F16 read this ! (and others as well)
I'm spending 2 hours a day answering the various F16 related mails. And have been doing this for some time now.
And in most mails I sense that most interested sailors feel alone in their interest in the F16 class.
I'm very happy to inform all that this is not the case. Currently I'm talking to 9 different crews. Some are even talking for small groups of about three other sailors.
I hardly have time to update the F16 webpage.
Now I'm not saying we can expect 9 new sales before the end of the month. People take far longer on deciding to spend the amount of money involved with buying a catamaran, but it does signal the class is becoming fully accepted and that many sailors feel attracted to the F16 class. And this applies to all regions were currently the F16 is represented. It is not at all like the interested sailors are coming from just one area.
We are also making progress on our first F16 Global Challenge. Scott is making great inroads into goverment and business organisations to support such an event. It is as good as certain that it will be a blue water location which is central to sailors from Europe, USA, South Africa, Asia and Australia. The best option at this time also has a significant F16 presence.
To bad alot of info at this time is still sensitive so I can't tell all but rest assured the F16 class is nearing critical mass in the various locations and what ever you think or hear other people say, you are not alone. F16 is definately growing and I contacts between A-cat and F18 classes are also developping (slowly but surely).
And this is extremely cool !
