[#14739]

I Did a search about F16 ratings and could not find anything related.

What are the following F16 ratings? Either Portsmouth, Texel and ISAF. Do we have the spreasheets, if so where can I get a hold of them?
F16 uni without spin
F16 uni with spin
F16 sloop without spin
F16 sloop with spin

If the F16 is going to be raced solo, is the Jib going to be totally prohibited? If so why? [color]I just want to have the correct info at hand. I have no intentions on creating a debate. I can see how this question can get misunderstood.

I found that when I was doing my search, I was not changing the date box. I was only searching for post only a week old. Thats the reason for no returns.

After doing some more research. I saw that the numbers are dependant on boat. Diferent boats, diferent ratings.

I would be more interested in knowing the rating for the Blade F16, Taipan 4.9 and the Taipan F16.

In a perfect world all the F16's would have the same exact rating, is this a posibility?

There are ISAF (and presumably Texel) figures for an optimised F16. Not all F16 boats are optimised however - they existed before the F16 rule was established. So they might be a bit heavier or have smaller sails etc - so they rate a little slower. If someone was running an F16 regatta though, then the handicap wouldn't come into it - first boat across the finish line would win no matter whether it rated .98 or 1.02.

Robi,

My advice would be that you do a better search. If you just go to the webpages of the USPN, Texel and SCHRS systems you will find all the answers you are looking for.

I'll help you in the way of the Europeans systems, the USPN numbers you must be able to find on your own accord.

www.schrs.com (ISAF / SCHRS)

www.texelrating.knwv.nl (Texel)

For official F16 races this is the case. Why, because that will pitch equal boats to one another in fair first in wins racing. For handicapped racing or open class distance racing their is no prohibition and so you are free to do as you like. Personally I'm looking forward to some sloop selftacker solo sailing myself.
