After many years I finally have someone excited about catamaran sailing. I have been teaching her on my P-19 out here on the West coast, Morro Bay. I have thought the F16 would be a fabulous boat for her. Me, too, potentially. (I have sailed 2, briefly)

Anyway, she has to make a quick visit to FL, Tarpon Springs, specifically. She says she will have Sat pm, Sept 1 available.
Will there be anyone reasonably close where she can look at one? Or watch them being sailed?

I was hoping she would have enough time to go to the Falcon factory, but it turns out FL is a lot bigger than I imagined.

Thanks, fair winds, Steve

F16 is an excellent platform. Fast, not such big loads yata, yata.
The Falcon plant is only 2 hours from Tampa straght across pretty much. IMO the best boats out there.

Check at Gulfport Yacht Club. There are a variety of models there and there is somebody sailing most weekends. That might even be a club race weekend.

There is a Falcon, a Blade, and a Viper that sail regularly at GYC. There is a race on 9/1. Come on down and check out the boats. Skippers meeting 1pm, first gun at 2pm.

ksurfer2's advice is good. Also, Fun in the Sun is right here in Clearwater, FL, less than 20 minutes from Tarpon Springs. Robbie Daniels and Jill Nickerson sell Vipers. Contact them at: funinthesunweb@gmail.com 727-734-0799.

I have a Taipan and I am usually on the water on Saturdays (in Clearwater,) but right now my spreader and spinnaker pole are broke so I'm out of commission until I get them fixed.

Thanks, all, for your help. Exactly what she needed. She is very excited, but unfortunately has very limited time. We did go to the ACWS in San Francisco for a day. Super cool. Top sailors and technology now doing what we have been doing for decades.

The F16 is an awesome boat to get into, I started on the Viper and loved the excitement. After a year of training and learning the boat I moved onto the Nacra F16 which is awesome if you really want to push it hard down!!! But whatever boat you look at, the F16 is just awesome in general!!
