What's expected to be the Fleet size for F16's at this event?

Not sure yet...We are going for sure and I am almost positive about Jody. Ed said earlier that he was planning on coming from MD and I am hoping he can talk some of the other F16's in that area into coming. So we will see.....
Anyone interested check out http://home.carolina.rr.com/catfest/

Joanna count me in. Terry you guys come on up and lets make a blade class. I say all this even before my boat has even touched the water. Soon though

Decision time. Juana's or Catfest?

Two hours longer drive for me to get to Charlotte (maybe a tad more). Juana's is hard to pass up, but I am game for wherever the boats are going.

Ditto...I believe Juan's now has tentatively committed:

McDonald
Tshan
tback
TikiPete

So Joanna and Jody ...

come-on-down

, signed Drew Carey

Well, Charlotte is 6 hours and Juana's 8-9 hours...if Ed comes and brings some others we may have a fleet at CatFest. How about the Carlisle Cup Classic Regatta & Daysailer State Championships; November 16-18, 2007?? (http://www.clearwatercommunitysailing.org/CarlisleCup2007/2007-CARLISLE-Flyer.htm) Just found out about it today and may come down to that since we have nothing in November. Could everyone get there?

That's a Harkin Buoy Series for the FL Cat sailors; so you should see a good turn-out of F16's,

Likely to attend:

Seth (Taipan)
tback (Blade)
tikiPete (Blade)
Robi (Blade)
TT (Blade)
Matt (Blade)
Timbo (Blade)
Ed L (Blade)
THE CHUCK (Blade) **If it hasn't sold**

And I know I'm missing another Blade and Taipan in Tampa/St. Pete that should show (given it's in their backyard).

Just a heads-up for your trip planning ... other events in FL in Nov:

Nov 3-4 Area D Alter Cup Qualifier -- Gulfport, FL
Nov 10-11 World Wave Federation Intercontinental Wave Championships -- Melbourne, FL
Nov 17-18 Carlisle Cup, Clearwater, FL

Maybe you consider coming for the Alter Cup and leaving your boat for a return on the 17th and let's not forget a ride to Melbourne for the WWF!!

Sounds like we aught to try and make it to Clearwater. It would be great to have that many F16's together. <img src=

Thanks for the info on the other races but as for coming twice...it is an 11+ hour drive-so probably not. Plus D-north has their qualifier Aug 25. So I don't think we could sail both anyways. <img src=

Drive? Who said drive? Drive one-way ...fly back...fly again for next event .... drive back.

Only one drive round trip <img src=

By November the first container of AHPC Viper F16s will have arrived in the Clearwater area. With one sold in nearby Treasure Island and Robbie Daniel as the local dealer you might have more Carlisle Cup F16s than you think. It would be a real shot in the arm for the class to have a big turnout and to have Robbie sail one and kick some butt and maybe teach a few F18 crews an F16 lesson. <img src=

Maybe you could get Jill and Robbie to charter you a new Viper for the Carlisle Cup. Then flying to Tampa to race would be possible.
