Hey, it's got to warm up sometime, right?? I just looked at the GYC web site and they are having a Chilli Cookoff contest at the next club race, March 6. If it's warm and I don't have to work, I plan on going, the chilli will be an added bonus! Any other F16's planing on being there?

It's been months since I've been on the boat, I really need some practice. If it's still FFFFreezing on March 6, March 20 is the next one, but I'll probably be at the Sebring 12hr. Le Mans race that day.

I doubt if I make the 6th but should be there for the 20th. I am planning on the sailing camp prior to Nationals.

Please remind me, what are the sailing camp dates? Thanks.

And Nationals are April 9-11, right? If I don't keep repeating the dates to my self I will forget to bid them off, and end up working on those days!

It sucks getting old, the first thing to go is your memory, and the second thing is....?

I forgot.

No Karl, because two years ago the FAA raised the mandatory retirement age to 65, we right now have over 30 777 Captains, and 3 First Officers, flying over age 60.

Here's the funny part; they are NOT allowed to fly TOGETHER! That's right, you cannot have BOTH pilots up front over age 60! So, I guess it's not as

Safe

as the FAA would have you believe?

I would have moved up those 30 numbers as they retired at age 60, if the age had not been changed to 65, but I have actually moved BACKWARDS by 5 numbers in the past 3 years on the 777, due to other, more senior, pilots bidding onto the 777 from other airplanes, in front of me.

I voted against the age change, as did 60% of voting line pilots, but our

Leaders

decided they would like it raised in spite of the membership's wishes. Don't get me started.

Timbo,

This weekend March 6th-7 is the SC45 and the rescheduled Hagar. Ding posted the Nors somewhere in this forum and on 1design I think.

SC45 Saturday then Hagar on Sunday - all at Pineda. Sat party is probably at our house.
