Sweet!

And at only $13,000 it's less than just about all the new racing cats!

When can I get one here in the states?

I wonder how much gas it uses for an hour of flying around? If I get one, you can bet I'll be 'blowing' by you on the starting line at the next regatta!

Some years ago I was flying with a copilot who told me that

The Captain I flew with last week showed up with an extra suit case...

Turns out it was one of those back-pack, powerd parachutes as in that video! The whole thing fits inside a big suitcase and weighs about 40lbs. according to this copilot.

They had a long layover in Ft. Lauderdale, so the Captain took his toy out to the beach early the next morning and the copilot helped him set it up and watched him fly it around for an hour or so.

The copilot was hoping for a crash landing...so he could move up a number, I'm sure!

That's why I never go down the escalator in front of the copilots, you can't trust them not to give you a little -help- down the stairs!

But is that legal? Flying that low around so many obstructions.

I don't know if it qualifies as an

aircraft

...

The rule for an Aircraft is, you must stay 500 feet away from people or cars, boats, etc. only if they are occupied by people.

But this guy is over the mud, and water, so...?

Look again, there's a whole line of masts 50'(?) away.

Yeah but if they are empty, ie. no people on board, so what? He's only going to skewer himself by buzzing a bunch of masts!

Still, I'm not sure if a powered parachute is considered an 'aircraft', especially in England, which I think is where this was filmed?

Remember what Woody said to Buzz Lightyear?

That's not Flying, that's FALLING with style!
