[#17672]

Well I received the crates yesterday for my Blade. I'm a little concerned because the shipping cardboard tube for the mast was broken in the middle and when I look down the track from the bottom of the mast, the top veers off about an inch from where it should be. There are no dents, but the veering appears to occur just above the diamond wires so I won't be able to correct it with the diamond. While I'm waiting to hear back from Matt regarding the mast, I just wanted to see if anyone thinks this is a big deal or not.

Don't worry, a slightly bent mast didn't kill my happiness. A couple hours after the Blade delivery, I found out my almost 9 year old German Shepherd has bone cancer and she could probably live for 6 months if we have her leg amputated.

The masts are very flexible make sure it is not gravity or something. My mast bends out of colom by at least that when it is on my trailer and not layed perfectly vertical with its major axis.

Just check to be really sure before people are worked over nothing.

Truly sorry to hear about your 4 legged friend

With the track pointing up, I see the bend. If I rotate it 30 degrees to the right, the weight makes it go straight. If I take it 30 degrees to the left, it is way bent

Decribe the bend. Over which part of the mast is it exactly. Over how long a section is the mast straight ? Is the bend smooth ? or very localized. Where does it start and end and where is its apex.

I tried taking pictures, but I'm having difficulties getting a good shot that shows everything. This seems much easier to see than to capture. I would say the bend is smooth over a 1 to 2 foot distance with the apex at or just below the upper diamond attachment. Since the bend is somewhat smooth, the exact point is not 100%. I will try tomorrow for a better shot or at least run a line to measure the offset.
