What size and how much sheet are you guys using who have 10:1 blocks? I'm most likely going up from 9:1
Length: set existing main to current full ease, measure distance between blocks, add this length to current main sheet length.
Thickness, depends on preferred rope type. 6 or 8mm
With this much purchase, consider a tapered mainsheet. In my experience, they run noticibly faster in an emergency sheet dump.
I ended up ordering 40ft of 6mm Maffioli swiftcord. I had a tapered mainsheet on the 9:1 which I really liked, but sold it with the blocks.
I've been wanting to try my hand at splicing so might try making a tapered sheet over the winter. My winter project list is getting long.....
With the new Harken blocks and a 8mm single braid you really don't need a taper. It flows pretty awesome.
My 6mm swift cord flows pretty damn well through my 57mm 10:1.
