Mast, main measurements

As far as I'm aware the latest craze in the 'A' Class and F18 Fleets is the use of Wing Masts. However, with the A's the Masts (sail) area is added onto the sail area of the Main and shouldn't exceed the Class rules for total sail area.
Now that most Blades are being fitted with 'Superwing' masts does the same apply for the F16's?

Yes Mark, if you look at the F16 Class Rules, you'll see that the calc for sail area includes half the surface area of the mast.

Sections 1.4 and 1.12 is what you want. Basically there is a max circumference of the mast and mast area is included in the sailarea of the mainsail.

Or is this another example of welsh humour?
